The 2015 Tarot Cabernet Sauvignon offers more black cherry, spice and hints of toast, as well as medium to full-bodied richness and a tighter, more focused, concentrated style. It’s terrific now but should evolve gracefully.
Like the Tarot releases, the 2015 Confession Napa Valley Red is charming, balanced and pretty, with hints of black cherries, black raspberries, violets, vanilla and incense. It has plenty of dark fruit, lots of juicy fruit, fine tannin, and a great finish.
The 2015 Secret Indulgence Napa Valley Red Wine is the most expensive in the lineup. Made of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon and 34% Petite Sirah, it comes from St Helena and Rutherford. It spent 20 months in 66% new French and was bottled unfined and unfiltered. Cassis, currants, exotic spice, potpourri and licorice notes all flow to a full-bodied, ripe, sexy red that has sweet tannin, notable freshness and a great finish. This brilliant Cabernet Sauvignon is very much in the style of this ripe, voluptuous vintage. Drink it anytime over the coming two decades.
