Score: 94 | December 31, 2024 | Vinous/Antonio Galloni

The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Wappo Hill emerges from Jean-Charles Boisset's home vineyard. Deep, layered and vibrant, the 2022 is wonderfully explosive right out of the gate. Blackberry, sage, menthol, lavender and licorice burst from the glass. Bruising tannins need time to soften, but this is a commendable effort for the year.

Score: 94 | October 24, 2024 | James Suckling

Probably the most focused, vibrant and linear of Jean Charles Boisset's broad portfolio of cabernet sauvignons. An elegant, linear and fresh-tasting wine that's laced with fine-grained tannins, medium-bodied and driven by good acidity. Dark cherries, iron, black olives, tobacco leaves, bay leaves and blackcurrants. Drink now or hold. - Jim Gordon
