The 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape has a surprisingly modern bouquet, yet backs it up with fruit. Blueberries, passion fruits, garrigue, and mint all emerge from this ripe, plum, incredibly sexy 2016 that has tons of texture and richness, while never going over the top. The blend is 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 15% Mourvèdre that was all destemmed and brought up all in concrete tank.

Slightly more expensive, the 2016 Vacqueyras Domaine de Montbayon is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre that was brought up all in tank. It offers plenty of earthy black and blue fruits, peppery herbs and hints of violets in a full-bodied, impressively concentrated, balanced style. It’s just another outstanding looking barrel sample from this negociant.

Great Value
Excellent, Highly Recommended

Pours the pale hue of soft pink carnations and bursts with aromas of wild strawberries and fresh herbs. On the palate, it’s crunchy red berries, fresh-pressed citrus, and a floral note on the finish. A rosé with structure.
