From Napa Valley, a concentrated and juicy blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, of which a portion is aged in new French oak barriques. Dark ruby in the glass with cassis, liquid blueberry, earthy florals, cedar spice and smoky vanilla flavours on the palate. Tannins are fine and velvety. Drink or hold.

Coming from the Monte Rosso and Lesdon Terraces vineyards in the Sonoma Mountain AVA, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Moon Mountain checks in as 100% Cabernet that spent 20 months in 30% new French oak. A big, ripe Cabernet Sauvignon, it sports a deep purple hue to go with top-notch cassis and blueberry fruit as well as notes of spice box, cedar, and dried herbs. Rich and medium to full-bodied, it has a savory, structured feel on the palate and should evolve for 10-15 years. It will be best with 2-3 years of bottle age.
A polished Napa Valley Cab from Buena Vista, rich, layered and full-bodied with ripe dark plum, black currant, blackberry, meaty, minty and cedar spice flavours on the palate. Smooth with structured tannins and balanced acidity. Love the long and juicy dark cherry finish.
Robust in tobacco, black pepper and toasted oak, this robustly ripe wine is thick in plum and dark cherry, with a brooding quality to the fruit. Supple tannins provide structure and softness, adding length to the rich, layered finish.
This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon comes in a monster bottle that feels like a magnum. It opens with a fragrant black currant bouquet with notes of craisin. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, round and smooth. The flavor profile is a black currant and dark chocolate blend with notes of black cherry and oak. I also detected hints of black pepper and spice. The finish is dry and its well-managed moderate tannins build up a little and linger for quite some time. This Cab went well with our marinated grilled steak tips from the Alpine Butcher.
