Coming from the Monte Rosso and Lesdon Terraces vineyards in the Sonoma Mountain AVA, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Moon Mountain checks in as 100% Cabernet that spent 20 months in 30% new French oak. A big, ripe Cabernet Sauvignon, it sports a deep purple hue to go with top-notch cassis and blueberry fruit as well as notes of spice box, cedar, and dried herbs. Rich and medium to full-bodied, it has a savory, structured feel on the palate and should evolve for 10-15 years. It will be best with 2-3 years of bottle age.

A polished Napa Valley Cab from Buena Vista, rich, layered and full-bodied with ripe dark plum, black currant, blackberry, meaty, minty and cedar spice flavours on the palate. Smooth with structured tannins and balanced acidity. Love the long and juicy dark cherry finish.

Robust in tobacco, black pepper and toasted oak, this robustly ripe wine is thick in plum and dark cherry, with a brooding quality to the fruit. Supple tannins provide structure and softness, adding length to the rich, layered finish.

Dusty tannins, toasted oak and rich flavors of chocolate mocha permeate this incredibly ripe, concentrated wine from the appellation. Elements of vanilla and cedar play along the robust finish.

Herbal and earthy, this bigboned, full-bodied wine is richly ripe in black fruit, with thick, chalky tannins and robust oak. Elements of sage, dried herb and cedar provide contrast and complexity.

Dark chocolate and sweet oak connect along a thick palate of rich ripeness in this dusty, appellation wine. With a touch of reduction on the nose, it finishes in a swirl of espresso and leather.

This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon comes in a monster bottle that feels like a magnum. It opens with a fragrant black currant bouquet with notes of craisin. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, round and smooth. The flavor profile is a black currant and dark chocolate blend with notes of black cherry and oak. I also detected hints of black pepper and spice. The finish is dry and its well-managed moderate tannins build up a little and linger for quite some time. This Cab went well with our marinated grilled steak tips from the Alpine Butcher.

Blending a majority of Merlot with Syrah, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah and Malbec, this red is tight and fresh in bright red fruit, big tannins and generous power. It dances around components of cocoa powder and baking spice, with pronounced toasted oak.
