This is slightly more complex than the La Vigne en Foule but less elegant and the pretty and pure red berry fruit aromas are a good deal less floral. There is excellent volume to the attractively rich and textured flavors that possess impressive depth and very good length. I like the style and the delivery as well as the subtle mineral nuances that suffuse the finish.

Deep ruby. A completely different aromatic profile is present with a pungently earth character to the ripe red and blue pinot fruit, plum and cassis suffused nose. The attractively textured, supple and solidly well-concentrated flavors possess excellent finishing depth and length. I like the balance and this is sufficiently forward that it will drink well almost immediately if desired.

A cooler if not necessarily more refined nose speaks of airy scents that included high-toned red pinot fruit, floral and stone nuances with undertones of warm earth and iron. There is a really attractive sense of energy and even more minerality on the precise, dusty, focused and impressively intense medium weight flavors that possess outstanding complexity and terrific length. This is a knockout for its level.

This is the first wine to display any significant reduction but here it's enough to block an evaluation of the nose. The rich, intense and energetic middle weight flavors possess fine precision and plenty of mineral nuances, all wrapped in a firm, mouth coating, dusty and well-balanced finish. Petits Noizons is arguably the best villages level vineyard in Pommard and the quality of this excellent effort merits consideration.

Here the nose is a bit more elegant and high-toned than the straight villages cuvée with a very pinot nose that also evidences hints of wet stone and Gevrey style earth. The cool, detailed and racy middle weight flavors culminate in a linear and mildly austere finish that displays excellent precision.

A discreet touch of wood sets off notably ripe, earthy and brooding aromas of red currants, plum and a hint of stone. The rich and relatively powerful flavors also evidence a lovely minerality on the driving and impressively persistent finish. This is excellent and well worth considering.

Strong reduction presently dominates the nose. By contrast, there is excellent verve and that lovely inner mouth perfume to the intensely mineral-driven flavors that possess a silky mouth feel and outstanding finishing depth and length. This is a stunningly good villages level wine notwithstanding that there is a significant proportion of 1er juice in it. Recommended.

This is also aromatically dominated by reductive notes but it seems reasonably clear that the underlying fruit is ripe. The textured and well-concentrated flavors possess ripe structuring tannins and fine length. There is good balance and while this is still quite tightly wound there is excellent underlying depth of material that should augur well for up to a decade of improvement.
