This fruit forward Pinot offers a blast of cherries and raspberries. It’s almost as sweet as jam, but it finishes dry, as the acidity and tannins that constitute its structure rush in. A lovely wine to drink now, right out of the bottle, and over the next few years.

Tight in its cool-climate scent of tart cherries and red apple skin, this broadens to a juicy, clean flavor of black cherries and peach. It’s fragrant and bright, then chocolatey and ripe, a firm pinot noir to serve with roast quail.

This is a very good Cabernet. It’s made in a drinkable style, with jammy blackberry, blueberry, and cherry flavors and a sweet, toasty coating of new French oak. Drink this flashy wine now and over the next years.

A quiet, creamy white with scents of Bosc pear along with some golden spice from oak, this is light and pear-juicy. For pan-roasted sandre or perch.

A fragrant and concentrated 2009, this wine is full and rich, its texture more dense satin than Chambolle’s airy silk. The cherry flavors run deep and the tannins are broad and supple, with hints of earthy funk in the aroma adding complexity to the fruit. A fine expression of the vintage.

A bit abrupt, with edgy tannins, but quite good for the price. Give it an hour or two in a decanter to let it mellow, and enjoy the blackberry, black currant and oak flavors.

This offers vanilla, sandalwood and caramom scents, evolving as this develops on the palate. Wild cherry, raspberry and floral flavors are backed by a solid base of tannins, rendering this red muscular and graceful. Needs time. Best from 2016 through 2030.
