A chewy and flavorful red with dark berry, dark chocolate and hazelnut character. Full body, round tannins and a rich finish. Old school but I like it. Needs a year or two to soften.

An attractive style, reliant on spicy, toasty oak as well as a zesty core of melon, green apple and white peach, maintaining an elegant mouthfeel throughout.

Elegantly styled, pure and complex, with a delicate medley of spicy, toasty oak and creamy pear, melon and apricot flavors, ending with a long, lingering aftertaste.

(made with destemmed fruit) Lurid ruby. Mineral-laced black raspberry and licorice aromas are lifted by peppery spice and floral notes. Juicy and focused on the palate, offering appealingly sweet dark berry flavors that tighten up slowly with air. Fresh and fruit-driven, finishing with spicy thrust and supple tannins.

(no stems) Brilliant ruby. Expansive raspberry, cherry and licorice aromas offer excellent clarity and complementary dusty mineral and violet nuances. Sharply focused and spicy on the palate, displaying very good clarity and lift to the sweet dark fruit preserve and floral pastille flavors. Shows strong intensity on the mineral-driven finish, which is framed by smooth, fine-grained tannins.

Bright violet. Intensely perfumed aromas of fresh red berries, potpourri, incense and smoky minerals; a peppery note adds spicy lift. Sweet and seamless on the palate, offering juicy red and dark berry flavors along with suggestions of spicecake and candied rose. Shows very good clarity and solid punch on a long, incisive finish framed by silky, harmonious tannins.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford District Collection is medium to deep garnet-purple in color with an open-knit nose of baked plums and earth notions plus incense and dusty earth hints. Full-bodied with soft acid and plush tannins, it shows warm fruit and good length.

Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Reserve has vague cassis and earthy scents. With chewy tannins, nice texture and freshness to match the fruit, it's not bad at all.

A structured wine that is also full of ripe fruit. Its red-berry fruits are encased in the tannins that still need to soften. The wine will be generous, full of berry flavors and with a dense texture.

Score: 93 | November 1, 2017 | Wine Enthusiast

Red-berry fruits dominate this already delicious wine. Allied with the acidity and the toasty wood aging, it is balanced while, of course, still young. It has potential, rich with tannins and with fine fruits. The wine is structured, needing time.
