The Morgon AOC has 6 distinct climats - Les Micouds, Corcelette, Douby, Les Grands Cras, Les Charmes and the most famous "Côte du Py." The soil of the Côte du Py is made up of broken up schistous rocks. The manganese and iron-oxide found in the granite of the Côte du Py gives the wines its characteristic structure.

Bright violet color. Ripe red berry, vanilla and floral scents show very good clarity, picking up a hint of smokiness as the wine stretches. Fresh, pliant and seamless on the palate, offering appealingly sweet black raspberry and cherry liqueur flavors and a touch of mocha. Smooth, even tannins shape the persistent finish, which leaves a hint of candied flowers behind.
