This wine's dark fruit tastes like pomegranate, a lean, clean zinfandel that plumps up in the finish. It's taut mineral-black in the middle, then becomes brighter in the end. Decant it for braised lamb shank.

An intensely floral and spicy nose that is wonderfully elegant, fresh and admirably pure speaks of wet stone, red currant plus warm earth, wood and sauvage hints. There is plenty of muscle to the precise and mineral-inflected big-bodied flavors that possess copious amounts of dry extract that buffers the very firm tannins and allowing for perfect balance on the mouth coating and linear finish. A classic Bonnes Mares that will require 15 to 20 years to arrive at its majority.

A somber nose only grudgingly gives up notes of plum, spice and violets that are followed by delicious and solidly complex flavors that are shaped by fine-grained tannins that impart a sophisticated mouth feel to the attractively persistent finish. I like the delivery as well as the overall sense of focus and balance. Worth considering.

30% whole clusters. A distinct floral note adds elegance to the otherwise humus and freshly turned earth dominated red berry fruit aromas that also evidence a hint of minerality that can also be found on the vibrant and solidly well concentrated medium-bodied flavors. There is an abundant amount of dry extract that largely buffers the very firm and mildly rustic tannins on the admirably long finish where a hint of mocha can be discerned. This offers very solid if not truly special quality and will need up to a decade to reveal all of its potential.

A distinctly ripe yet attractive fresh nose of red and black cherry fruit and warm earth aromas introduce attractively textured, round, rich, supple and focused middle weight flavors. There is a fine sense of underlying tension to the firmly structured finish but there is plenty of buffering sap and excellent length. This offers fine development potential.

30% whole clusters. Hints of spice, warm earth and dried flowers characterize the very fresh red pinot fruit liqueur aromas that marry into the solidly rich and seductively textured flavors that culminate in a firm and only slightly rustic finish that delivers outstanding length. This robust effort possesses that wonderful quality of ample amounts of underlying tension. Worth a look.

A very fresh and attractive nose of red cherry, cranberry and blue pinot aromas nuanced with a hint of the vegetal introduces vibrant, detailed and pure medium-bodied flavors that possess good focus and detail on the clean, balanced and lingering finish. I very much like the style and the mouth feel and all this needs to be at the next level is more overall depth. In a word, pretty.

A perfumed, spicy and attractively elegant nose offers up a ripe combination of red and black cherries along with a hint of violets. The delicious, fresh and energetic middle weight flavors possess a beguiling mouth feel along with an agreeably dry and clean finish of impeccable balance. This offers excellent value.
