Aromas of crushed plums, sliced red cherries and fresh herbs. Full-bodied with velvety tannins. Very bright and fresh. A bit of coconut comes through the red fruit. Complex and intriguing. Best after 2025.

The 2019 1 1/2 Acre Red checks in as 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec, 7% Petit Verdot, and the rest Merlot and Cabernet Franc. This perfumed, pretty, complex red offers loads of cassis, black cherry, and candied violet aromatics, medium to full body, a round, lush mouthfeel, and a great finish. It’s a big, ripe wine, yet it still stays nicely focused and vibrant on the palate.

The 2019 Red Wine 1 1/2 Acre emerges from a tiny biodynamically farmed block at the Raymond property. Black cherry, plum, spice and mocha build as this mid-weight, racy Cabernet shows off its curves. The 2019 is a charmer, as are all these wines.
