Domaine du Père Hugues, Côtes du Rhône-Villages, Plan de Dieu bottle

The name "Plan de Dieu" was given by the nuns of Prebayonin in the Middle Ages when they left the Dentelles de Montmirail to settle down here. They found this place to be a perfect terroir for vineyards the "Plain of God".

Domaine du Père Hugues has been a family estate for 3 generations and was named after an ancestor. The vineyards are situated in the south of Orange, at the crossroads of Rasteau and Sablet villages, on clay limestone soils with a lot of pebbles.

  • Winemaking

    The grapes are crushed and destemmed. The maceration lasts 2 weeks at controlled temperatures. The wine is then aged for 10 months before bottling.

  • Nose

    Generous red fruits and spices aromas.

  • Palate

    Elegant and well_balanced approach with a long fruity finish.
