Rich oak char, chocolate and tobacco flavors slather this wine with an earthy, spicy character that is backed by bold black cherries and blackberries. While good and tannic, the wine’s texture is fine-grained and velvety. Best 2025–2032. —J.G.

This ripe, inviting and full-bodied wine blends red and black cherries, cocoa and cinnamon on a full body wrapped in velvety tannins. Enjoyable now for its richness and warm, mouthfilling texture, it can also age. Best 2026–2036

This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was crafted by Boisset Collection's Stephanie Putnam. Incredibly fresh and vibrant with fragrant red florals and a beautiful streak of ironstone minerality framed by a dusty tannin backbone. Medium to full-bodied, balanced, and expressive of pure boysenberry fruit, tinged with baking spices and herbs. Complete and impressive. Sourced from a vineyard in east Yountville and one in Stag’s Leap District. Named for Wappo Hill, the present-day site of Jean Charles Boisset and Gina Gallo’s residence, but historically, the ancient apex of the Wappo Indian lands, and the name pays homage to their heritage. Aged 19 months in 100% French oak. 175 cases produced.

Tightly focused, with a textbook Coombsville Cabernet profile of black currant fruit, singed tobacco and cast iron notes backed by tannic grip. Shows solid length and drive for the vintage, too. Best from 2024 through 2035.

A densely packed offering, with a muscular core of black currant, fig and blackberry reduction flavors interwoven with warm loam, roasted cedar and sweet tobacco accents. Solidly grippy too; needs a little time to stretch out. For fans of the amped-up style. Best from 2024 through 2035.

This has floral lift from a violet edge, with a fruit core of raspberry and blackberry focused by a racy element. Shows bramble for grip as well as good energy through the finish, where a hint of the vintage's heat pokes in along the edges. Drink now through 2033.

Smooth and charming, showing coffee, toffee, spice and citrus flavors, this white reveals a complex and delicate, almost creamy, texture, while the bright structure keeps this defined and long on the finish. Drink now through 2027.

Enlivened by bracing acidity, this white delivers lemon-lime, hazelnut, mineral and buttered pastry flavors. Shows tension, yet the balance seems to tip to the tart side. Best from 2024 through 2028.

This nononsense, nicely concentrated wine offers a firm, tannic texture, good blackberry, black olive and sage flavors and a medium body. It comes off a bit lean and edgy but will taste great with a steak. Or wait for it to mellow with some time in cool storage. Best from 2027. —J.G.

Typically ripe and buttery, this textbook California Chardonnay shows nice nuances of toast, dough and nutmeg in addition to ripe pears and cream. It's a tasty, crowd-pleaser that will suit many occasions.
