Noticeable wood fights slightly with the otherwise fresh, cool and complex aromas of Granny Smith apples, pear, lavender, white flowers and hints of mineral reduction. There is excellent volume and an intense minerality to the relatively forward and lush broad-shouldered flavors that coat the palate with dry extract before culminating in a balanced and long finish. This is surprisingly approachable and not quite as complex as what I'm used to seeing with this wine. Perhaps it will add more depth than I foresee, but given how relatively forward this is I don't see that as especially likely.

This is more aromatically complex with its attractively fresh nose of lemon, grapefruit and pear. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the mineral-inflected medium-bodied flavors that display good cut on the very clean, refreshing and saline finish. This is really quite pretty.

Here too there is just enough wood to notice on the agreeably layered nose that features notes of apple, pear and a touch of exotic fruit. There is an undercurrent of minerality that adds lift to the delicious, round and supple medium weight flavors that possess good punch and detail on the dry and clean finish that again offers good persistence if only moderate depth.

A deft application of wood sets off notes of green apple, lemon zest, floral and spice hints. There is good punch and intensity to the plump and supple middle weight flavors that possess good persistence if only average complexity on the dry, balanced and easy-to-like finish. This should also drink well right away.

Screw cap. Great value: full bodied and zesty in style, this is a fresh, crisp Sauvignon with good balance and a long finish, tasting of lime, lemon grass, grapefruit, and green apple
