Editor's Choice. Fermented and aged in stainless steel, this wine is all about fresh, vibrant fruit. Limes, Meyer lemons, gooseberries, Asian pears and something tropical, like papayas, all mingle together. Aging on the lees, which is a popular intervention in many unoaked white wines, gives additional notes of cream and sourdough. — S.H. (5/1/2012)
Score: 87, Good Value | May 1, 2012 | Connoisseur's Guide to California Wine
Drawn along very different lines than its older and much riper mate above, this zesty, mid-sized Zin is rife with buoyant young fruit. It keeps alcohol in check and is light in its feet from start to finish, and it is withal a very versatile wine that will shine in particular with tomato-sauced pastas in the very near term.
