Luxurious, saturated fruit aromas lead to a palate full of cooked blueberries, dark chocolate and mint in this mouthfilling and concentrated wine. Rich, fine-grained tannins give a velvety mouthfeel while the opulent black fruits keep echoing on the finish.
Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon Reviews
Ripe, with red and black currant fruit forming a solid core, but there's lift and freshness too, with floral and rooibos tea notes in the background. Nice acidity lends a racy edge, with an iron note underscoring the dark fruit-filled, toasty finish. Drink now through 2034. 148 cases made.
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon District Collection Atlas Peak comes from a mountain terroir located in the southern part of the valley, a terroir that always seems to yield structured, tannic wines. Ripe black fruits, scorched earth, tobacco, and ample minerality define the bouquet, and it’s medium to full-bodied, has building tannins, a focused, age-worthy profile, and outstanding length. Give it 2-4 years at a minimum.
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Atlas Peak is super distinctive. A whole range of earthy and savory undertones convey the essence of Atlas Peak. Grilled herbs, leather, menthol, gravel, licorice and scorched earth build nicely over time.
