For a Chambolle, this is rather robust and ripe with mulberries and blueberries galore. The flashy new oak is more obvious here than on the other Premier Crus. Still, it is well-placed thanks to the concentrated fruit core. It just needs a year or two to settle in. The sassy acidity nicely cleans up the earthy, spicy finish.
Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru “Les Charmes” Reviews
Bottled. Especially pale rim. Very floral and hedonistic. Sweet start and surely just what burgundy lovers currently seek. Really rather gorgeous fruit and precision with just a little dry finish so probably worth waiting a while. Very long.

Bags of ripe glossy oak mingle with dark cherries, cedar oak and savoury coffee notes. Elegant and refined with grippy tannins. No rush.
This is intense, starting out on the elegant side and building slowly to attain greater density and power. Spice, raspberry and cherry flavors form the center, with a layer of chalk and stone underneath. Shows fine concentration and balance, delivering a long, minerally aftertaste.
Forward and dense, in the nicest sense, with an aromatic weight of textured fruit, It fills your mouth – silky and concentrated. There’s an accent of barrel toast but just that, Mouthwatering, sweet flavor right to the finish this is really a joy. There’s some barrel here, so wait three years while drinking the Les Charbonnières. Excellent

A deep, dark-cherry nose and lots of complexity. Full, with lots of concentration and good intensity too. There's a faint reduction here but it doesn't detract from the panoramic finish - very long - excellent again!
