N°10 Cabernet Sauvignon Reviews

Score: 94 | February 14, 2020 |

A very tight and refined red with aromas and flavors of currants, berries, cedar and violets. Full-to medium-bodied, silky and tight. Juicy and flavorful. Shows form and brightness for the vintage.

Score: 96 | January 31, 2020 |

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon JCB #10 is a blend of three different sites and is all Cabernet aged in 47% new French Oak. It’s a step up over the #1 release and offers full-bodied, powerful notes of blueberry and cassis fruits intermixed with notions of ground herbs, crushed violets, and earth. It’s concentrated, has ultra-fine tannins, and beautiful balance. It’s a rock star of a Cabernet in 2017 that will evolve gracefully for two decades or more.

Score: 95 | October 31, 2019 | Wine Advocate

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon No. 10 is made of 100% Cabernet aged in 47% new French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Deep garnet-purple in color, it gives up roasted nuts, mocha, black currants, warm plums and earthy sparks, plus notions of black olives and dried lavender with a waft of tobacco. Full-bodied, the palate is packed with spice-laced fruit, with plush, velvety tannins and great freshness, finishing long and layered.

Score: 95-97 | January 31, 2019 |

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon #10 is also full-bodied and is similar to the 2016, although just slightly less concentrated and powerful. Nevertheless, it has thrilling purity and is impeccably balanced.
