The Sheriff of Buena Vista Reviews
The 2019 The Sheriff of Buena Vista is composed of 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Petite Sirah, 22% Syrah, 9% Petit Verdot, 5% Grenache, 3% Mourvedre, and 2% Mission. Medium garnet-purple in color, it swaggers out of the glass with confident blueberry pie, warm cassis, and blackberry preserves scents, plus suggestions of Indian spices and tree bark with a touch of Sichuan pepper. Full-bodied, rich, spicy, and plush, the palate offers soft acidity and an earthy finish.
Big, dense, ripe, rich, great balance.
Superripe, jammy flavors of strawberries and blackberries are nicely accented by oak spices of vanilla, toast and cedar in this moderately tannic, firmly structured wine. It offers lots of fruit and power.

Rhone style, ample structure with aromas of plums, spice and grilled beef fat. Rich and feminine in the mouth with plush tannins and generous, well-integrated flavors. Relieved by lively acidity, leading to a lingering, contemplative finish.
