The 2015 Chardonnay Natalia's Selection opens with a toasty, yeasty nose giving way to a core of lemon pie, ripe peaches and spiced pears with a waft of orange blossoms. Medium to full-bodied with an appealing suggestion of oiliness to the texture, it offers loads of citrus and stone fruit layers with a lively backbone and great length.
Natalia’s Selection Chardonnay Reviews
Brian Maloney makes this wine with fruit farmed by Charles Heintz at two vineyards, Heintz and Searby. His 2015 is a gracious chardonnay with apple-blossom scents and fresh red-apple flavors, seeming to capture the fog in its honeysuckle freshness. It's round and creamy, the waxy richness supported by a fine structure of oak. Lovely to drink now, this would complement a crab and avocado salad.
This is a juicy and full-bodied white, tightly woven in oak and butterscotch. Expansive on the palate, with a depth of apple pie and nutmeg, it offers a balance of fresh acidity that complements well.
Elegantly styled, pure and complex, with a delicate medley of spicy, toasty oak and creamy pear, melon and apricot flavors, ending with a long, lingering aftertaste.
