Geza’s Selection Pinot Noir Reviews
Opening in divine aromatics of orange peel and raspberry, this cool-climate wine shows a length of brightness and fres acidity amidst a full-bodied style and approach. Ample tannin and oak accentuate its earthier heartier side. -Virginie Boone
A rich depth of flavor is at the heart of this wine, a mix of blueberry, blackberry and cherry that shows a generosity on the nose and palate. Bright acidity lifts the deeper, darker notes of toasted oak and cola. —V.B.
This is a spicy, earthy and medium-bodied selection, lengthy and concentrated in cardamom and forest pine. The fruit tends dark and brooding, with a brambly character balanced against the crispness of acidity. The spiciness persists through the finish. —V.B.
More complex, the 2012 Pinot Noir Geza’s Selection possesses notes of forest floor, earth, plums and black cherries in its round, generous, Burgundian-styled personality. It could easily be mistaken for a generic Côte de Nuits. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
