Deep garnet-purple in color, the single-varietal 2019 Chateau Buena Vista Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford features sweet notes of chocolate box, vanilla pod, and licorice pie over a core of blackcurrant cordial, menthol, and plum preserves. Medium to full-bodied, soft, and juicy in the mouth, it has plenty of ripe black berry and spicy layers, finishing long and minty.
Aromas of ripe dark berries, grilled thyme, cured meat and dark spiced with some hints of cedar and moist earth. Full-bodied, deep and layered with firm, lightly chewy tannins. Powerful and persistent with a long finish. Better after 2025.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford Chateau Buena Vista is outstanding, with a round, supple, fruit-forward, yet incredibly satisfying style as well as plenty of red and black fruits, spice, and leafy herbs. Brought up 20 months in 45% new French oak, drink this hedonistic bomb over the coming decade.
