Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Zinfandel Arpad's Selection has a wonderfully fragrant nose of cherry compote, raspberry preserves and baked plums with suggestions of Chinese five spice, roses and underbrush. The palate is led by a taut structure of chewy tannins and crisp acid supporting the spicy baked berry flavors, finishing long and earthy.
Arpad’s Selection Zinfandel Reviews
Juicy and brightly layered despite its ripeness and soft density, this shows rich strawberry and raspberry flavor, wrapped in leathery earth.
Medium ruby purple in color, the 2014 Zinfandel Arpad's Selection is scented of dried mulberries, prunes, blackberry preserves and fruitcake with a waft of dusty earth. Big, beautiful and full-bodied, it offers tons of dried berry and spice box flavors with a good amount of velvety tannins and lively acid to support, finishing with excellent persistence.
Loaded with cracked pepper aromas and flavors, defined by a balanced structure and boasting accents of ripe cherry and raspberry, plus smoky licorice. Drink now through 2026.—T.F
Ripe, soft and easy to quaff. Aromas of raspberry, spice and mocha combine with jammy cherry, licorice and anise flavors. –TF
