Already showing notes of game and decaying fruit, in the best sense, this delivers macerated cherry, plum, animal, licorice and woodsy flavors. Stony and chalky on the finish, with a lingering aftertaste of fruit, licorice, earth and chalky mineral.

Gevrey-Chambertin “Les Murots” Reviews
Score: 93 | March 20, 2018 | Wine Spectator
Score: 91 | February 18, 2018 | Wine Enthusiast
This dense and tannic wine, from the lower slope of the village, is firm and solid. It has a powerful core of tannins as well as rich black fruits that are developing behind the structure. Concentration and dryness mean the wine needs to age, so drink from 2021.
