This is the second year Grégoryhas sent his own harvesting team to pick the grapes from these 70-year-old vines. He then cajoles and nurtures it in the cellar because, like the Beaune Grèves, this can become a commanding wine. Indeed, there is the grandeur one might expect of this top NuitsPremier Cru, but there isn't the rusticity that can also be present. The tannins are slightly gruff but nicely meshed into the generously ripe mid-palate, and the integrated acidity doesn't over-emphasize the mid-palate tug.
