This wine shows depth and balance, offering a classic nose of ripe dark fruit, vanilla and eucalyptus. Some crushed-stone minerality, too. Full-bodied and dense with impressive concentration, viscous tannins and bright acidity. Fresh and juicy aftertaste. Lovely now, but better in 2023.

Made from 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Petit Verdot and 11% Cabernet Franc, this blend comes in a heavy bottle with a giant gold alligator on it. Rich red fruit is sinewy and leathery in texture, with a ripe plushness that leans hot. Virginie Boone

This is a salty, savory and lengthy white from a cool-climate site, richly layered in butterscotch and baked apple. Made in a hearty style, it remains fresh via underlying acidity and is accented in nutmeg and oak. Virginie Boone

Great balance and a refreshing bit of restraint make this medium-bodied wine charming and elegant. It will be easy to come back to for all kinds of meals. Vibrant raspberry and red cherry meet light oak spices on a smooth, lightly tannic texture. JIM GORDON

Rich in salty caramel crème brulee, this is a fleshy and lushly made white wine, full bodied and concentrated in style. The oak provides a foundation of toasty baking spice and vanilla.  -Virginie Boone

Opening in divine aromatics of orange peel and raspberry, this cool-climate wine shows a length of brightness and fres acidity amidst a full-bodied style and approach. Ample tannin and oak accentuate its earthier heartier side. -Virginie Boone
