The 2010 Vin Jaune is rock star stuff made from 100% Savagnin that saw a short maceration followed by 6 years (and three months) in older barrels. A sherry-like nose of toasted nuts, wood smoke, cheese rind, and beautiful golden fruits all flow to a medium-bodied Vin Jaune that packs plenty of oomph and acidity as well as fruit. It makes you salivate and will be a great aperitif.

The JCB 2010 No. 3 Red Wine is a blend of French and California Pinot Noir. The color is dark garnet, and the nose is spicy and smoky displaying notions of underbrush and red cherries. This medium to full-bodied, elegant yet authoritatively styled effort merits serious attention. It can be drunk over the next 5-6 years.
