Red Initial aromas of earth and garlic blow off on the palate, but there are black cherry, black currant, violet and sandalwood notes that build to a long finish. Ripe and well-oaked, yet balanced and expressive. This red is built for the long haul, so be patient. Best from 2022 through 2040.

While the nose is demure, the palate of this medium-bodied white offers loads of fresh white grapefruit, peach and apricot flavors. Made from a blend of Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Ugni Blanc and Vermentino, it’s fresh and fruity yet edged by veins of salt and chalk. Enjoy this brightly balanced wine now–2022.

Earthy and stemmy, this affordable wine is both fresh and robust. It shows good balance in its black cherry, tea and forest floor flavors, which make it appealing to many Pinot lovers. Editors' Choice
