Effusive aromas of smoke, mineral and spice are complemented by lemon and green apple flavors. A racy profile fits this tensile white like a glove. Excellent length. Best from 2019 through 2028.

Elegant for the appellation, sporting floral, wild strawberry, wild cherry, sandalwood and bay aromas and flavors. A firm line of tannins runs underneath, showing up for the party on the lingering finish. 

Smoky cherry, spice and herb aromas and flavors mark this detailed, elegant red. Despite the lacy texture, this is stony and tight, with a chalky feel on the finish.

Black cherry and toasty vanilla aromas and flavors are the hallmarks of this muscular red. Hints of tobacco and chocolate linger. The firm structure begs for patience. 

This dense version is packed with wild cherry and tobacco flavors. Lean and tense, unraveling through the long finish. 

Cherry, currant and spice flavors are the hallmarks of this dense red. A mineral note adds interest as this builds to a long, sinewy finish. Echoes fruit and spice details on the long aftertaste. 

This is supple and spicy, with flavors of vanilla and sweet baking spices framing the strawberry and currant fruit. Shows light touches of earth and mineral as this finishes with a chalky sensation. Elegant. 

Red Sweet vanilla, butterscotch and milk chocolate notes give way to cherry and spice flavors in this tightly wound red. The oak is dominant now, but there is a lot going on. The finish is long, ending with ripe fruit. 

An exotic style, boasting sandalwood and floral aromas. Flavors of wild cherry, black currant and spice follow through. Ends with a long aftertaste of fruit and spice.

Very good deep, healthy red. The most floral of these 2014s, conveying lovely perfumed lift to the aromas of black fruits, spices and honeysuckle. Communicates wonderful ripeness and detail without any impression of heaviness or weight. Really superb energy here, no doubt partly due to the vinification with 80% whole clusters. Most impressive today on the very long, fine-grained finish, where the savory red fruit and blackberry flavors build slowly and linger long. This should be long-lived.

A discreet application of wood easily allows the fresh, earthy, herbal tea and sauvage-scented nose of red and dark pinot fruit. As one would expect the big-bodied flavors are markedly bigger and more powerful with excellent mid-palate concentration on the beautifully long and mouth coating finish. This is not particularly complex at present but there is so much development potential in evidence that much more should develop with time in bottle.

A beautifully complex nose offers up notes of red currant, blue pinot fruit, plum and plenty of pungent earth nuances that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. The velvety yet strikingly intense flavors brim with sap that renders the mid-palate more approachable though it seems blatantly clear from the very firm and robust finish that this distinctly serious effort is going to require plenty of cellar time before it arrives at its apogee.

The 2014 Saivgny-lès-Beaune Blanc Villages is a blend of two vineyards. It has a tightly wound bouquet with hints of nutmeg and dried honey coming through, showing more vigor than the Beaune Blanc. The palate is well balanced with a touch of tropical fruit on the entry, good weight in the mouth with a long, tender and harmonious finish. This comes recommended. 
 

The 2014 Chambolle-Musigny Village includes two new vineyards compared to last year from Les Gruenchers and les Fremiets. It has an attractive bouquet, nicely detailed with wilted rose petals infusing the red berry fruit. The palate is fresh and attractive with crisp, red cherry and strawberry fruit, the 40% new oak a little conspicuous towards the finish, though I think that will be assimilated with 2-3 years in bottle. 

The 2014 Vougeot 1er Cru le Clos Blanc has a clean and detailed, granite and smoke-scented bouquet that is austere at first, but finds its voice with aeration. The palate is rounded and harmonious on the entry with touches of tinned peach and nectarine, a keen line of acidity and nicely integrated oak just filling out the finish. Give it a year or two once in bottle - it will be a very fine Vougeot.

The 2014 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru had a nice "Coche-like" reduction on the nose that I will not complain about if extant after bottling. The palate is well balanced with grapefruit, fresh pineapple and tinned peach furnishing the entry. This Bâtard is harmonious with a twist of lemon peel on the weighty and quite intense finish that lingers long in the mouth. This represents another excellent white grand cru from Pierre Vincent.
