Chateau Buena Vista Cabernet Sauvignon, Diamond Mountain Reviews

Score: 94 | October 24, 2023 | The Wine Independent

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Chateau Buena Vista Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain District is a little closed to start, unfurling to reveal notes of baked blackberries, blackcurrant jelly, and baker's chocolate with hints of star anise, crushed rocks, and tapenade. The full-bodied palate has a firm, finely grained texture and plenty of freshness to support the taut, muscular black fruits, finishing long and minerally. Nice!

Score: 94 | May 5, 2022 | JamesSuckling.com

Blackcurrant, blackberry and walnut aromas with some wet earth. Medium to full body with round, creamy and firm tannins and a flavorful finish. Softness and focus to this young cab. Drink after 2024.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Chateau Buena Vista is more fresh and focused, with more sappy herbs, violets, mint, and both red and black fruits. It’s not green, yet it certainly has more herbal notes as well as medium to full-bodied richness, ripe tannins, and terrific balance. It should keep for 15 years. Unfortunately, it’s made in tiny quantities.
