A terrific example of this warmer mountain terroir located in the northern part of the valley, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon District Collection Diamond Mountain has the textbook savoriness, dried red fruits, and earthy minerality that I always find in wines from Diamond Mountain. It’s full-bodied, layered, and seamless, and while it has plenty of upfront charm, it’s going to keep for 20 years without any issues.
