The "Climat du Val" single vineyard enjoys southern exposure and lies on chalky soil. The term "val", meaning "valley" in French, refers to the hilly landscape. The vines are on average 30 years old.

Winemaking
Aged on the lees for 16 months with no racking in 40% new French oak barrels. The barrels were toasted at low temperature for an extended period to impart a very delicate touch of oak to the wine.

Notes of fresh red fruits and licorice.

Elegant structure, smooth tannins and well-balanced.
