In 1883, the lawyer Henri Grandin married Mademoiselle Pouillet de Limesle. Her family owned les caves de La Bouvraie, a domain in the Loire Valley. whose cellars housed Louis XIV’s former royal glassworks in the magnificent Château of Ingrandes-sur-Loire. It was in 1886 that henri Grandin first launched the legant sparkling wine that still carries his name today. Today Grandin produces an elegant Cuvée Prestige, according to the rigorous standards of the Méthode Charmat. This very strict standard is enforced to ensure Grandin’s signature style is revealed year after year.
