La Réserve du Château de Pierreux is made from selected grapes and aged in oak barrels for 8 to 10 months. This special cuvée is only made in the best years with the finest old-vine Gamay.
Gamay grapes were 100% de-stemmed. Fermentation lasted 26 days and included pump overs and rack and returns. The wine was aged in neutral oak for 12 months.
Strawberry and blackberry aromas emerge with a note of toasted coffee bean.
Powerful and linear palate supported by elegant tannins. Black fruit and mineral flavors are followed by a long and supple candied fruit finish.
