Named for the Count's third son who valiantly declared that his father was responsible for bringing his beloved Zinfandel grape to Sonoma, this wine is harvested from a historic vineyard north east of Sonoma. Red volcanic soils, big rocks and old vines are all trademark characteristics of this vineyard that was originally planted back in the early 1880’s.
