In the lovely village of Fixin, in the Côte de Nuits south of Dijon, there is the tiny 5-acre vineyard of "La Mazière." The name "La Mazière" comes from the latin word MACERIA that refers to a stone wall.

Vinification in wooden vats followed by maturing in oak barrels for 10 months (25% new oak).
