Gevrey-Chambertin Reviews

Score: 88-91 | January 10, 2024 | Burghound

An overtly sauvage-inflected nose is comprised by notes of forest floor and smoky red and dark pinot fruit scents. The delicious and vibrant if only moderately dense middleweight flavors conclude in a markedly rustic, robust and youthfully austere finale that is persistent if slightly warm. This is very Gevrey in character and a wine that's going to require at least some patience.

Score: 92 | May 31, 2023 | Wine Spectator

Rich and juicy, offering cherry, raspberry and spice flavors that coat the palate, while earth and tobacco accents add detail. Features a line of fine tannins underneath but, for now, this is all about fleshy fruit. Shows fine harmony, polish and length. Best from 2024 through 2037. - Bruce Sanderson

Cherry, currant and spice flavors are the hallmarks of this dense red. A mineral note adds interest as this builds to a long, sinewy finish. Echoes fruit and spice details on the long aftertaste.
