The Private Reserve wines are the ultimate wines within the portfolio, limited in production, sourced from the finest vineyards in Sonoma County, from appellations
best suited for a specific varietal given the dramatic diversity in climatic and soil conditions across the County.

Location
The Private Reserve Chardonnay was sourced from a vineyard that is planted on a shelf that splays out from Sonoma Mountain. Being the highest point north of San Pablo Bay and just barely protected by Sonoma Mountain to the north and west, this vineyard has been referred to for some time as "Alaska, cause it's always cold and windy up there." The cold and wind, combined with the beautiful sunshine that this vineyard sees, make for an incredibly intense and rich Chardonnay.

Winemaking
The grapes were hand-picked and sorted, whole-cluster pressed and barrel fermented before being aged for 13 months in 100% French oak, 15% new French oak.
-
Nose
Our Private Reserve Chardonnay opens with stunning notes of honeysuckle and lemon grass.
-
Palate
A creamy, smooth entrance leads to a full bodied mouthfeel and delectable flavors of white peach and nectarine with rich marzipan and toasted brioche on the finish.
